D&D, as a ruleset, is about bringing the incredible ideas that people come up with to life in a shared story. However, the professional developers can only justify the tools for so many concepts. Not being restrained to a publisher’s schedule or requirements, I want to be able to assemble concepts that people want to play in a more clean way than diving through 10 or 15 books.
At the same time, there are some ideas that the developers had, that while inspiring, could have been so much more. I want to make opportunities for that to show, also.
